Bloody Ears

Ive been wanting to make these for a while and finally remembered to pick up everything I needed to make them. They look gross. Just like little bloody ears!  This is a great recipe to have on hand for Halloween. They couldnt be simpler to make either.

Ingredients:

1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

1/2 cup red jelly- I used strawberry

1 egg, beaten

1 1/2 cups turbinado sugar

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or spray with nonstick cooking spray.

Spread jelly evenly on puff pastry.Beginning at one long side, roll dough to middle. Repeat with other side. Using pastry brush, cover outside of the log with beaten egg. Spread sugar out onto platter and roll log until covered. Using knife, cut the log into 1/4 in. pieces. Arrange on baking sheet and bake 20 mins.
